Voted America’s Coolest Small Town in 2014, Berlin is home to the Berlin Peach Festival and Heritage Fair. This is an annual community festival featuring pie-baking and pie-making contests, music, craft demonstrations, games and vendors of handcrafted items, all kinds of peachy foods and many different varieties of delicious peaches!
We will meet up at the Berlin Peach Festival to enjoy all the activities and afterwards, travel a short distance to Assateague National Seashore for car camping at oceanside walk-in sites. After enjoying beach activities on Sunday, we will return home.
WWO has a limited amount of camping equipment to lend as a member benefit. Since the campsites are sandy, it is recommended that participants bring longer-than-normal tent stakes. Campground rules restrict number of tents per site so tent sharing among participants could be necessary.
This trip is Saturday through Sunday. WWO registration fee does not include any meals nor entry to
Assateague Island National Seashore. Gear sharing, carpooling, meal planning and all other trip details will be worked out by email the week before the trip.
Registration Deadline: Wednesday, July 26, 2017
